Something that had been annoying me for years was the huge number of old photo albums and travel diaries that were collecting dust and deteriorating in the tropical conditions of Darwin. I had spent countless hours putting pictures to text in photo journals that were rarely viewed but treasured by us all the same. It seemed obvious that they needed to be digitised, but when do you ever have time? And then we were offered the positions in Singapore which involved work, but in comparison to what we were currently doing, it was going to be more like part time. And while living in a condo I wouldn't be gardening so....... we took a few with us and then anyone who visited from Darwin over the ensuing years was asked to bring another 1 or 2 with them. We had taken our scanner and laptop with us so it was just a matter of getting on to it. Many an afternoon before work was spent downloading and then uploading into OneNote which was a program that I really appreciated at the time. But who uses OneNote these days? So now I am uploading again into a platform that will be accessible to anyone interested.
